Good day at work, finally had my "new hire" class that was put off twice. I met some new people, it was a small group, two from Coloroado, one from MountainView, and one from Rocklin. It was actually kind-a fun but it did set me back another day on my project work. Oh well, I expect to put in some long days before this project is over. Lunch was provided, and we got a tour of the Data Center.
On the way home I watched a terrible accident, watched two cars collide and fly off the freeway at about 70 miles per hour. There was a steep embankment that went down about 15 feet and then a sharp hill that launched on of the cars into a small tree. I was about 200 yards behind the whole thing and pulled over to see if anyone was injured. As I approached the dust was still settling and others were stopping. I made sure 911 had been called and ran down fully expecting the worst. One of the drivers was lying quite a distance from the car, I initially thought she had been ejected from the care but not so sure now. There was no blood, just a bruised young lady worried about what her parents were going to say about the car and another couple of ladies who looked very dazed but okay. I assured the young girl that her parents were going just be happy that she was okay. Some off duty EMT's arrived and took control of the situation, a local Police officer showed up so I left, thanking God that nobody was hurt.
Got home and had dinner out back with the family, Kayla and the little ones too. We thanked God for our Family, our health, our food, and our Savior and enjoyed our dinner together. Kayla took off with the little ones, Robin read while I sat next to her and got a little work done on the computer.
A few more things to install on my laptop but it's almost all back to normal after the hard drive crash. Grabbed this shot of it for my daily photo.
Later,
D
