Darron Daily - 2012
2012.11.16 (Friday) Well, it was a great day. I couldn't wait to get to work and get started today. (I don't remember the last time I felt that way about work! - Thanks Father) I popped out of bed at 5:10 AM, showered, dressed, and got in by 6:15 AM. I had my first assigned task completely implemented and ready for code review by the time Len came in. I grabbed breakfast at the Oracle cafe, and did a demo and code review by lunch. Had lunch with Len, told him how I felt good about the new job, the team, and he seemed to agree that it was a good week. After lunch I did implemented the changes that Len suggested, did a WebEx phone demo with Ana and checked in so they could deploy the fix to QA for testing. It should go to production on Monday. It wasn't the most challenging task but I felt good that I got it turned around quickly. (It's been about 10 years since I did any VB development. I've been coding C# so long that it was next to impossible to get my right pinky to stop typing semicolons at the end of every line! ) Took off at 3:15 PM, waited for Robin to wake up and then we ran downtown in search of a daily photo. Robin called Jennifer and they talked while I wandered around the capital building in the rain shooting different shots around capital park. After I got done shooting I got to talk to Jen for a while. I really miss Jen, Corey, and Mia! I picked this shot for my daily photo. Its comprised of five different exposures each at 1 stop apart. [-2, -1, 0, 1, 2] I spent about 20 minutes "developing" the exposures, tone-mapping, adjusting color, saturation, clarity, etc. This is what I ended up with for the daily pic but there were a few good runners up. See some of the others here Here is the same shot (not HDR) that I took December 2008. Have a great weekend!
